Man shot dead while trying to grab gun from security forces in Myeik

The insurgent who tried to snatch a firearm from the security members in Myeik Township of Taninthayi Region was shot dead during the clash.
When the security forces conducted a patrol in front of “U Myat Lay” park on 1 July, an insurgent tried to snatch a gun from a security member. Therefore, the security member opened fire at him. But the suspects tried again to grab the gun. Therefore, the security forces shot again to threaten him. He then fell onto the tar road with gunshot wounds. He died on the way to Myeik General Hospital.
Therefore, the officials opened a case against the suspect. —MNA
