Terrorists destroy basic education schools in Pwintbyu, Taze townships

Terrorists are perpetrating violent attacks in some areas intending to injure government officials, as well as bombing schools.
Terrorists detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) near a basic education high school in Shauktaw village, Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region on the morning of 30 November, damaging three motorbikes parked at the front of the security gate of the school.
U Aung Ba Hein, 45-year-old, a member of the village support group, was taken to Pwintbyu Township People’s Hospital for treatment after suffering landmine injuries near the security checkpoint.
Similarly, terrorists detonated a mine near the fence of No. 1 Basic Education High School in Paw Oo Ward, Taze Township, Sagaing Region yesterday morning. Detonator pieces attached to electrical wires were found and confiscated.
As terrorists continue to carry out their activities, the public as a whole need to be vigilant and, if any terrorist activity is found in their area, cooperate and report it secretly. —MNA
