Bago Region creates over 47,000 job opportunities

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win organized a Bago Region Investment Meeting (1/2022) at the regional government office on 21 January.
The meeting discussed the rights and law protections for the investors in the region.
The chief minister also said the region mainly allows the CMP, fertilizer production industries and other factories that can create job opportunities. In granting permits to the industries, it should scrutinize under the Industrial Zone Law to avoid affecting the natural environment.
Then, the director of the Bago Region Directorate of Investment and Company Administration presented the investment sector and the committee members coordinated the discussion.
Bago Region received investments with US$104.484 million from foreign investors and K8329.15 million from local investors between 1 February 2021 and January 2022, fostering job opportunities for 47,903 people. — MNA
