Union Information Minister inspects Myanmar Art Centre construction site

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the Myanmar Art Centre construction site located at the corner of 73rd street and 109th street in Mandalay Township yesterday.
First, Director U Kyaw Kyaw Soe of the i Green Development & Engineering Group reported on the implementation of the project, completion and ongoing work processes.
Then, the Union minister talked about the emergence of culture and arts since the Pyu period according to the records, thousand-year-old language, literature, Thabin and music, the conservation of own cultures and artworks in all countries and measures for new generations to value and conserve the arts.
He continued that the quality of culture shows the value or dignity of a country and human being. The Prime Minister also appreciates the creations of arts and often instructs to provide the needs of artistes. It is such a pride for constructing the Myanmar Art Centre in Yangon and Mandalay. Therefore, the artistes can grab a chance to show off their qualifications at these centres and that will benefit the country and entertainment industry.
The government constructs a nation physically and mentally. The construction of the art centre aims to hand over the culture and heritage of the elderly to the young people to conserve and cooperate from their respective sectors.
At noon, the Union minister gave 10 DTH satellite receivers for Mandalay region government to regional Chief Minister U Maung Ko while 500 DVB-T2 Set Top Box for Mandalay residents to region Social Affairs Minister U Yin Htwe and another 500 DVB-T2 Set Top Box for Mandalay Station to Mandalay Station Commander. — MNA
