Virgin islands – natural beauties in Kawthoung District attract local and foreign travellers

A total of 135 islands along the coast of Kawthoung District are abundant with natural beauties, live bio-diversities and coral reefs. Some islands are attractive to travellers for taking relaxation.

Kawthoung area in Taninthayi Region is naturally endowed with long coasts, various sizes of islands formed with soft and white sand beaches, varieties of plants, mangrove forests, amphibious animals, birds and coral reefs.
The location of the islands is in series, free from impacts of natural disasters and least habitation by human beings. As such, these islands are virgin with beautifully natural resources, favourable weather and the natural existence of sandbanks for all islands.
Kawthoung District is formed with two townships, three towns, 21 wards and 162 villages from 38 village-tracts inhabited by various national races.
A total of 135 islands along the coast of Kawthoung District are abundant with natural beauties, live biodiversity and coral reefs. Some islands are attractive to travellers for taking relaxation. Hence, local and foreign travellers may take relaxation and exploration on Satan Island, Nyaung Oo Phee Island, Macleod Island, Nga Khin Nyo Gyee Island, Kyun Phi Lar Island, 115 Island, Bo Cho Island, Cock Comb Island, Lampi Island or Kyun Tan Shey and Wa Ale Island.
