Thai govt grants 10-year visas by half-per-cent fee

The Thai government announced that they will grant 10-year visas for foreigners with passports by halving the charge to 50,000 baht yesterday.
Thai officials reopened the trade route for bilateral trade with its neighbouring countries, calling employees, and tourist arrivals starting the second week of May following COVID-19 health rules.
They called Myanmar migrant workers under the MoU system, reopened the Myawady-Mae Sot friendship bridge, and granted 10-year visas for foreigners who hold passports if they pay a visa fee of 50,000 baht.
In their statement, it said those who want a 10-year visa can apply within 90 days starting 14 May.
The visa is targeted at four groups of foreigners and they will halve the visa fee from 100,000 baht to 50,000 baht. —TWA / GNLM
