Ministries emphasize implementing AITSC’s meeting decisions

The Ministry of Planning and Finance held the coordination meeting to discuss the timing of the deployment of personnel to be sent to regional camps and checkpoints to engage in anti-trafficking activities yesterday, under the decision of the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee’s meeting (2/2022).
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance U Maung Maung Win, the permanent secretaries from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, Deputy Chief of Police of the Myanmar Police Force, and the deputy directors-general of the Ministry of Defence, the Directorate of Road Transport Administration, the Customs Department, the Immigration Department, and the Office of the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
At the meeting, the deputy minister called on participants to discuss the timing of the deployment of staff from various departments to regional camps and checkpoints in order to effectively combat the illegal trade, and the steps to be taken. The participants provided suggestions on the deployment and the timing. — MNA
