Myanmar team players selected to compete in ASEAN U-18 Women’s Championship

The Myanmar team has selected the final players to compete in the 2022 ASEAN U-18 Women’s Championship to be held in Indonesia.
Team Administrator Daw Myat Myat Oo, Head Coach Daw Thet Thet Win, Assistant Coaches Daw San Yu Naing, Daw Sein Si Si Hlaing, Daw Thuzar Htwe, and Goal Coach U Zaw Lin Aung will supervise the women’s team.
Goal Keepers Lucier, May Oo Khin and Phyee Bay, defenders Moe Pyae Pyae Maung, Kyei Sin, Nan Shwe Thin, Phyu Phyu Win, May Thet Mon Myint, Khin Htay Kyaing, Shoon Lei Khaing, Nwe Phwe, Phyu Phwe, Midfielders Hnin Pwint Aye, Wai Phue Eain, Wai Hin Phyoe, Htet Htet Win, Hay Mran Soe, Khin San Lwin, Daisy Aung, Aye Htet Htet Paing, Nann Cho Hmwe, July Htet Wai, Strikers Yin Loon Eain, Theingi Htwe, Phyar Myar Moh Moh Aye, Zin Moe Pyae, December Hnin, and Su Myat Noe will participate in the Myanmar U-18 Team for the upcoming event. The tournament will be held from 22 July to 4 August, and a total of nine teams will compete.
According to the group division, Viet Nam, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Singapore will fall in Group A while Australia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Malaysia are placed in Group B.
According to the fixture, the Myanmar team will face the Malaysian team on 25 July, the Philippines team on 27 July, and the Australian team on 29 July as group matches. Group matches will be held from 22 to 30 July while the semi-final matches will be held on 2 August. The third place match and the final will be held on 4 August.
The Myanmar U-18 women’s team started training for this tournament in April, and as pre-tournament warm-ups, it played against the Myanmar national women’s team played against Shwe Pyitha Youth Team and Myanmar senior Women’s Team. The team is handled by Daw Thet Thet Win as the head coach.
Daw Thet Thet Win managed the Myanmar national women’s team as the temporary head coach during the 2022 ASEAN Women’s Championship held in the Philippines from 4 to 17 July and managed to beat the famous Viet Nam and win the third prize. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
