Restricted chemicals worth K320 mln captured in Hsenwi township

K320 million worth of 35.95 tonnes of restricted chemicals – Ammonium Nitrate – were seized in Hsenwi township of Shan State (North), Myanmar Police Force stated.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force examined a Nissan 22-wheel truck driven by Aung Ko Min accompanied by Hein Min Zaw heading from Muse to Lashio township at the Yepu Permanent Checkpoint at 7 pm on 26 July.
They captured a total of 35.95 tonnes of restricted chemicals – Ammonium Nitrate – worth K320 million and the suspects admitted the seized chemicals to be carried from Shan State to Mandalay Region.
The suspects are prosecuted under the law and Police are carrying out investigations to arrest the rest, it is learnt. — MNA
