Yangon Mayor inspects water drainage improvement work

Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay and party views the drainage improvement works yesterday.

Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay, in his capacity as chairman of the Yangon City Development Committee, the vice-mayor, the secretary, committee members and officials observed the cleaning work of garbage and sandy soil within the creek and bushes along its bank, at the Kamayut Creek between Ward 12 of the Insein Street, Kamayut Township and Ward 10 of Hline Township. Then, the mayor gave necessary instructions on the cleaning process.
Afterwards, Yangon Mayor and party paid a visit to the Ward 12 of Hline Township Municipal Administration Office and viewed staff housing, office buildings and office rooms in the office compound. The mayor urged officials to carry out continuous cleaning of the office premises, ensure the strength of office buildings and tighten the security.
Then, they continued an inspection on the process of removing dirt, silt and sandy soil with the use of an excavator from the Kathwe Creek at the Mingyi Street of Ywama (East) Ward in Insein Township at 8 am, and fulfilled the needs. — MNA
