Yangon Water Bus starts running to Twantay

After the two-year pause of the Yangon-Twantay Route, Yangon Water Bus docked on 8 October at the Twantay Jetty as the water bus is operating normally.
The water bus helps travellers visit Twantay, Twantay District, Yangon Region including an ancient historical Shwesandaw Pagoda, where six pieces of sacred relic hair of the Lord Buddha were enshrined, more than 100 years old Twantay Cannel, Baungdawchoke Pagoda, Pottery and Weaving Industries and some famous landmarks in the township.
It is a day trip to the famous places including historic Shwesantaw Pagoda, Baungdawchoke Pagoda, Snake Pagoda, Kyaikphu-Kyaikpa Pagoda, and Shanlay Village where the traditional handicraft were seen.
Yangon Water Bus service postponed for more than two years resumed running in the Yangon River on 6 October.
On the beginning of the journey, water bus fare is collected at K18,000 per person.
It is a day trip for the local visitors to gain knowledge during the weekends and public holidays.—Twantay Thar/GNLM
