FDA Myanmar notifies four cosmetics inclusive of restricted chemicals

The Department of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the Ministry of Health notified four kinds of cosmetics which include chemicals that cause danger to health.
FDA found them to contain prohibited chemicals Lead (+) in Novo/Noble eye shadow (Shining Dream) and Rhodamine B (+), Lead (+) in AnyLady – 3 Colours Blusher.
Similarly, Comfort Beauty (Matte Lipstick) contains the prohibited chemical Rhodamine B (+), and AnyLady (professional makeup kit) (Unicorn Love Sweets) was made up with prohibited chemicals Rhodamine B (+) and Lead (+), it is learnt.
In 2022, FDA issued a notice not to use four cosmetics that have been sold locally after the FDA found the products were not only composed of restricted chemicals but also were unregistered in FDA Myanmar.
