7 townships to experience temporary power outage

As upgrading work will be done at the Thakayta power plant, a temporary power outage will occur in seven townships on 28 February, according to the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation.
At the 230 kV Thakayta power plant, the 230 kV Bus will be switched off and Bank (2) Transformer D/S connection will be removed to transmit power to the 230/33/11 kV, 100 MVA Bank (2) transformer.
Thakayta, Yankin, Dawbon, Dagon Myothit (South), Dagon Myothit (Seikkan), Thingangyun and Tamway townships will have temporary outages from 9 am to 12 pm on 28 February but arrangements will be made to ensure that there are no power outages in important areas. — TWA/KZW
