Bagan introduces scenic horseback riding experiences

Plans are underway to offer horse-riding tours for local and foreign travellers in the Bagan Ancient Cultural Zone.

The Areindama Tour Company said they are making plans to offer horse-riding tours for local and foreign travellers in the Bagan Ancient Cultural Zone.
The Areindama Tour and Mo Riding Club will jointly develop the horseback riding trip in Bagan in the coming tourism season.
“Horse-riding is a good habit for health. Although the service was available only for foreigners previously, we expanded the service for Myanmar travellers as they showed their interest in horse-riding trips. The charges vary depending on the distance of the trip.

Visiting around the pagodas riding the horseback is such a pleasant occasion and so we arrange to resume the service in December. The horse-riding trip will be at the resort opened at Tuyin Hill in December. The resort is surrounded by mountains, so it is such a natural oasis. We are preparing to resume indoor and outdoor horse-riding trips,” said Daw Aye Thida Moe, director of Areindama Tour Company.
The new tourist destinations in Bagan are Kyaukmyathmaw, rocky lake on Thetsoe Mountain, over 900-year-old Tamarind tree and Sal tree forest in Zee-O-Hla Village, Setsetyo Village in Ngathayouk, Yotesone Monastery in Thaepyintaw Village, Gemoe Pond in Legwa and Latpanaing villages in Kyaukpadaung Township and the Mount Popa.
Moreover, there were 1.3 million day-trippers to Bagan from January to September 2023 and 327,451 visitors stayed at hotels, motels and guesthouses. — ASH/KTZH
