CNG cylinder licence renewal, strength inspections offered during office hours

According to the CNG Department under the Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE) of the Ministry of Energy (MoE), the licence renewal of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) tanks in CNG-powered vehicles and strength checks are being processed during office hours.
CNG inspection activities are being conducted by the department in Insein Township, Yangon Region, in order to ensure the safety of the CNG vehicles.
The department continually conducts inspections on CNG-powered vehicles in Yangon Region to ensure their safe travel.
The department has informed that YBS buses, taxis, and other vehicles used in public transportation activities require an annual check to prevent accidents caused by CNG.
Annual licence renewal of CNG gas cylinders, replacement of expired CNG gas cylinders with new ones, and installation work are carried out from 9 am to 3 pm daily except on public holidays. Documents prescribed by the department, such as the CNG book, CNG card (red card), wheel tax (original + copy), owner book (original + copy), business part (1/2) (original + copy), vehicle inspection pass (original + copy), applicant’s Citizenship Scrutiny Card or driver’s licence (original + copy) are to be submitted by the applicants. If the applicants can submit all necessary documents, the department will provide all the above services on the same day. — TWA/TKO
