Union Minister for Commerce inspects commerce journal press, fish shipping process

Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn visited the Commerce Journal press in Mingala Taungnyunt Township of Yangon Region on 6 April to inspect the printing process of commercial publications, magazines, and journals. During the visit, the Union minister emphasized the importance of accurate trade information, increased printing and publishing, and prioritizing fire safety measures.
Additionally, the Union minister and officials conducted an inspection at Aung Mingala Port in Kyimyindine Township to look into the shipping conditions of surplus fish from Maubin and Twantay townships for export.
The inspection aims to ensure local fish sufficiency and price stability. Furthermore, the Union minister directed the Department’s One-Stop Services (OSS) to conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with export regulations. This included streamlining export processes to reduce delays, improving fish quality and ensuring accurate weighing, exploring new foreign markets for export, and prioritizing maritime safety. — MNA/TKO
