Cultural Heritage Week held in Nanning

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar Consul-General Daw Khine Hsu Lin attended the opening ceremony of the Second China-ASEAN (Nanning) Intangible Cultural Heritage Week held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in China on 12 April.
The event, taking place at the People’s Theatre from 12 to 18 April, showcased cultural performance arts of different regional countries.
Eight Myanmar theatrical performers led by U Phoe Chit, chairperson of the Myanmar Theatrical Association, performed the Myanmar traditional ‘Thangetaw’ Dance, Bagan Dance and Thingyan Dance.
Over 100 officials and distinguished guests were in attendance, including Mr Wu Yujun, Director-General of the Guangxi Culture and Tourism Department. — ASH/NT
