Bawgyo Pagoda Buddha Pujaniya festival to be held up to 6 March

The ancient Bawgyo Pagoda Buddha Pujaniya festival in Hsipaw Township, Shan State (North), will be held up to 6 March according to the Board of Trustees of Pagoda.
In this year’s festival, the board of trustees will donate gold foils to the four ancient Buddha images and offer alms to the Buddha image in the early morning on the full-moon day of Tabaung. The festival started on the morning of 28 February. Shan traditional glaze wares, Shan bamboo hats and household utensils are on sale at the festival and shops are selling domestic products and traditional foods. — TWA/KZW
