Carrying smartphones to be forbidden at Martyrs’ Day Ceremony

The authorities concerned issued a public notice requesting that carrying smartphones will be forbidden at the three restricted areas of the venue where the 76th Anniversary of Martyrs’ Day ceremony will be held.
The announcement stated that the public has to follow the rules and the forbidden items including smartphones in their visit to the Martyrs’ Mausoleum, the Bogyoke Aung San Museum and the ministers’ office on the 76th Anniversary of Martyrs’ Day on 19 July.
Any kinds of mobile phones, flags, handbags, cameras, lighters, flower wreaths/ flower bouquets/flower baskets, vinyl posters, bottles, sticks, various kinds of pipes and drones are not allowed to be brought and used.
In addition, visitors will only be allowed to enter these areas by wearing masks after washing their hands and using hand sanitizers at the designated places.
It is also mentioned that the public need to carry citizenship scrutiny cards or other ID cards, take health checkups, including body temperature, and register personal information at the relevant security places. — TWA/MKKS
