Cash assistance provided to drill five wells in five villages

Presiding Abbot Chen Zhang from the Lincoln monastery in Beijing, China, donated cash for drilling five wells in five villages at a ceremony held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development in Nay Pyi Taw.
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, the permanent secretary, the directors-general, the deputy directors-general and donors led by Mr Liu Wei and officials.
First, Mr Wei, head of the donor team, donated cash assistance for five villages in Bago and Magway regions to drill wells, to build water tanks and solar-powered water pumps.
Union Minister U Hla Moe received the cash assistance, expressed words of thanks and gave the certificate of honour to the Abbot. — MNA/MKKS
