Drug seized in Kunlong, Tachilek townships

Five offenders are seen along with seized drugs and a saloon.

A combined team comprising members of the anti-drug squad raided the house of a man called Laukae in Nanthuu village, Kunlong Township, on 21 April and seized 4,180 stimulant tablets and 0.12 kilogramme of heroin from his house.
Similarly, officials searched a Crown vehicle driven by Sai Thura Oo, accompanied by Sai Tun Aung, Aik Rone and Aik Raung, at Pahlan 1st Street in Tachilek Township on 23 April, and found 5,000 tablets of ecstasy. After interrogating them, officials nabbed Kyaing Tit (aka) Sai Aung Khan at Sengsai B ward in Tachilek. They all have been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. —MNA/KZW
