Free delivery of books donated to rural libraries

Pyay Township Writers’ Association treasurer U Shwe Win donated books to Information and Public Relations Department in Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region, for the development of rural libraries. In response, Bago Region (west) manager Daw Htay Htay Win and post office head Daw May Min Han provided free delivery service for the donated books yesterday morning.
Myanmar Post Office under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, is providing free delivery service of donated books to community centres (libraries) opened by the Ministry of Information to raise the reading frequency of the public. This service started on 1 October 2018 in all the 793 post offices throughout the whole country.
