Health service officers educated patients and their care assistants about transmissions of infectious diseases, including novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), at Nay Pyi Taw 300-bed People’s Hospital in Pubba Thiri Township yesterday morning.
Video clips for possible ways of infections, symptoms and systematic use of face masks and hand washing were shown.
Senior medical doctors also explained information and effective preventions of infectious diseases including novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) originated in Wuhan city of China. Health educative programmes are being conducted once a week at the Nay Pyi Taw 300-bed People’s Hospital to follow recommendations for preventing infectious diseases. The hospital has also set up a fever corner for the patients with high body temperature, cough and sneeze, and the isolation ward for the suspected patients.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
