Htantapin Community-Oriented radio pilot planned

MRTV, Ministry of Information and DW Akademie officials held a signing ceremony at MRTV’s headquarters (Yangon) yesterday for a new joint community radio pilot project in Htantapin Township, Yangon Region.
The radio pilot project is intended to inform local communities, preserve traditional ethnic culture and religious diversity. The radio station will be a non-profit enterprise with technical and broadcasting assistance from DK Akademie. The Village Development Collective Force of Htantapin will also assist the project. The memorandum of understanding was signed by MRTV Director-General U Myint Htwe, and DW Akademie Country Manager Mr. Patrick Benning.
