Improved petroleum recovery contracts signed

Supplemental agreements for the Chauk and Yenangyaung oil fields was signed between Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE) under the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, and Goldpetrol in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
U Zaw Aung, Director-General of Oil and Gas Planning Department, U Myo Myit Oo, Managing Director of Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise, Mr. Marcel Han Liong Tjia, Chief Executive Officer of Goldpetrol, and Mr. Zhaung Jianguo signed improved petroleum recovery contracts for MOEI 1 (Yenangyaung) and IOR-2 (Chauk).
Under these contracts, the government will strengthen bilateral collaboration with Goldpetrol JOC Inc. to improve oil production during the extension period of 11 years.
Also present on the occasion were U Win Khaing, Union Minister for the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, and Deputy Minister Dr Tun Naing, departmental heads and officials from the company.
