
Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye met the displaced persons in their temporary shelters to encourage and provide assistance on 5 and 6 May.
The Union Minister arrived in Myitkyina on 5 May to move persons facing difficulties owing to the security situation in Kachin State to a safe place.
The Union Minister met Kachin State Chief Minister Dr. Khet Aung and youth leaders, who were rallying in Myitkyina for persons wishing
to move.
The union minister promised to provide food, clothing, shelter, health, education and social aid to the people who left their homes. The government, he said, was working towards achieving eternal peace and good results through round-table discussions. It will listen to the voices of the displaced persons and look after their requirements. All the people should join hands with the government. — Myanmar News Agency
