MECA holds Christmas Eve

The Myanmar Evangelical Christian Alliance (MECA) organized a Christmas Eve at the BCM in North Dagon Myothit Township, Yangon, yesterday afternoon.
It was attended by Dr Shwe Hlwan, the wife of Vice President U Henry Van Thai, Union Minister Thura U Aung Ko, Yangon Mayor U Maung Maung Soe, the Patron of MECA, its General Secretary and members, the members of BCM and invited guests.
Union Minister Thura U Aung Ko made a remark on the ceremony, highlighting mutual understanding, magnanimity and forgiveness for peaceful co-existence of people from different faiths for peace and stability of the State.
Rev. Dr Morris Liana from the MECA extended greetings and Yangon Mayor U Maung Maung Soe made a Christmas speech.
The wife of Vice President then said Christmas blessing and Patron of MECA made a wish for peace and prosperity of the country.
The youth members of BCM sang the closing song, followed by the blessing of Vice Chairman of Myanmar Christian Council. The event concluded with a feast for all participants.—MNA(Translated by Aung Khin)
