Misinformation: Alleged suicide linked to military conscription

Malicious media outlets have been circulating fake news alleging that a mother committed suicide after her son and son-in-law were conscripted under the People’s Military Service Law in Thingangyun Township, Yangon Region.
A member of the Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants clarified that the son and son-in-law were registered solely due to the requisite age criteria, dispelling any misinformation. They continue to reside at their residence.
Malicious media outlets are spreading false information to sow fear among the public and distort the facts regarding the law. — MNA/NT
