Chinese Ambassador Mr Chen Hai calls on Union Minister U Than Swe in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

U Than Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr Chen Hai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed matters pertaining to the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping, successful outcomes of Chinese People’s political consultative conference (CPPCC) and the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) of the People’s Republic of China in 2023, the maintenance of peace and stability along the border area between Myanmar and China, and China’s continuous constructive support towards Myanmar development endeavour and for the success of the repatriation and resettlement of displaced persons from Rakhine State as well as further enhancement of mutually beneficial cooperation both at regional and international arena. — MNA
