MoH Union Minister speaks online at 8th China-ASEAN Forum on Dentistry

The 8th China-ASEAN Forum on Dentistry opening ceremony in Guangxi, the People’s Republic of China yesterday morning. That is held via the hybrid method and the Chair of the Forum Prof Hongbing Liao greeted the forum and Union Minister for of Health Dr Thet Khaing Win spoke with a video keynote speech.
The Union minister expressed he is proud and happy that the China-ASEAN Forum on Dentistry has been successfully held for the 8th time since 2008. The slogan of this forum is All on “Cloud Silk Road” for Oral Health and found to be consistent health exchanges and cooperation during the post-Covid era. The cooperation between the University of Dental Medicine Yangon, the University of Dental Medicine Mandalay and Guangxi Medical University Hospital and the College of Stomatology is rising. Today is the official signing ceremony of the MoU on education and medicine between the Department of Medical Services of the Ministry of Health and Guangxi Medical University, College of Stomatology will be held online and it will be a special day.
Then, Director-General of the Department of Medical Services of the Ministry of Health Dr Myat Wunna Soe and Rector of the Guangxi Medical University, College of Stomatology Prof Hongbing Liao signed MoU on dental education and clinical collaboration online.
The forum is going to be held from 18 to 19 November and dental technicians from the People’s Republic of China, ASEAN countries and Myanmar attended.
Next, the Union minister accompanied by the deputy minister, directors-general and the deputy permanent secretary is going to meet the staff at the Department of Public Health and had lunch together. — MNA
