MoH urges people to get booster shots

The BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of the Covid-19 pandemic cases are high in the world and people should get vaccinated against COVID-19, the Ministry of Health urged.
Moreover, the ministry accelerated the health awareness programmes for the returnees via border points including the Thai border. On 15 June, the three procedures for border, airlines and relief flights respectively were also released.
The country reported seven new Covid-19 cases on 17 July, bringing the total cases in the country to 613,816. The health authorities tested 4,507 people for COVID-19 and the positive cases were 0.16 per cent. The total number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 reached 592,744 including eight new recoveries. The number of COVID-19 deaths has reached 19,434 as of Sunday, the ministry said. The BA.4 and BA.5 cases are currently high in Thailand, Japan, India and Singapore and the death toll is also on the rise. — TWA/GNLM
