MoTC Union Minister makes inspection tours in Yangon

MoTC Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San inspects the satellite earth station of MPT in Toegyaunggale.

Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San inspected the radiofrequency measurement station (South Dagon) of the Posts and Telecommunications Department in Dagon Myothit (South) Township of Yangon Region yesterday.
During the inspection, the Union minister said it should measure and check to avert the interference in frequencies, curb the illegal spectrum users, register the frequency usage, maintain the machinery and make sure the security affairs and capability of employees.
Then, he went to the satellite earth station of MPT in Toegyaunggale and the station in-charge personnel reported on the satellite materials installed at the station and connected lines and proper connection for mobile communication in remote areas.
Then, the Union minister instructed the needs to become reliable operators, provide proper communication services, creative and unusual services, fix the reasonable service charges and tax rates and use the state-owned Myanmar Satellite 2 effectively.
On arrival at the Warehouse of MPT, the Union minister checked the storage system to meet the criteria and distribution system.
At noon, the Union minister and party visited the Hanthawady Data Centre of MPT in Sangyoung Township and the Union minister highlighted the need to prepare the reserve power generators at the Data Centre in providing information, connect with the reserve cables, use the machinery as per the standards, draft the security plans for data centre and fire safety.
They also went to the Locomotive Factory (Insein) of Myanma Railways and inspected the factory compound.
During the inspection tours, the Union minister gave presents to the respective departmental staff.
On arrival at the Myanma Railways Hospital (Insein) and officials of MPT donated cash to the head of the hospital. — MNA
