Mural paintings of 90 ancient pagodas, stupas, and edifices in Bagan will be renovated in collaboration with India, according to the Department of Archaeology and National Museums (Bagan Branch).
Since March, experts from the Archaeological Survey of India have been visiting Myanmar to discuss the restoration and preservation of the mural paintings of pagodas and edifices in Bagan.
Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan signed the MoU and checked the renovation processes of the Nathlaung Kyaung, Thagyapon Pagoda, and Ananda Pagoda, and the maintenance of palaces belonged to King Anawrahta and King Kyansittha. — TWA/KZW
