In the Penang Invitational Judo Championship 2023, held in Penang, Malaysia, on 9 and 10 December 2023, Maung Aung Zay Htet secured a gold medal. Maung Htet Aung also claimed a gold medal in the 66-kilogramme category, while Maung Kyaw Khant Soe achieved victory with a gold medal in the 73-kg category. In the women’s 32-kg competition, Ma Hnin Oo Wuttyi won another gold medal. In the men’s 24-kg competition, Maung Bhone Pyae Chantha Tun secured a silver medal. Maung Aung Wai Phyo earned a silver medal in the 90-kg competition. For the men’s 50-kg category, Maung Khaing Khant claimed a bronze medal. In the women’s 57-kg competition, Ma Ngwe Pon Chit also earned a bronze medal. As for the Myanmar Judo Sports Team, nine athletes participated in the competition, securing eight medals.
