Nay Pyi Taw to hold Thingyan celebrations including Walking Thingyan

Thingyan celebrations will be held at the Nay Pyi Taw Mayor’s Maha Thingyan pavilion and the Water Fountain Park with Walking Thingyan in order to make Nay Pyi Taw Thingyan Festival more alive with people, according to Nay Pyi Taw Maha Thingyan Organizing Committee.
The opening ceremony of the Nay Pyi Taw Mayor’s Maha Thingyan pavilion and Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan will be launched on the morning of 13 April (the eve of Thingyan), said Nay Pyi Taw Mayor U Tin Oo Lwin at the meeting of the Maha Thingyan Organizing Leading Committee on 5 April.
During the Thingyan Festival, Nay Pyi Taw Mayor U Tin Oo Lwin instructed officials to ensure security issues so that the public can enjoy water splashing in a peaceful manner and ongoing working plans of subcommittees. — TWA/MKKS
