Since the resurgence of conflicts following the Arakan Army’s assault, the Arakan Liberation Party has actively engaged in assisting missing-person cases and supporting those displaced by armed conflicts, as stated by the party.
Major Khaing Thurein, the party’s spokesman, stated, “We’ve been helping find missing people and reunite families since the conflict reignited. When someone reports a case to us, we assist. Food shortage is also one of the issues we address.”
He further highlighted the involvement of charitable organizations in rescuing the sick and elderly trapped in the conflicts, as well as tending to the injured. He emphasized the necessity of rendering assistance in every possible way if something happens in one’s region.
The party has signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement with the government. — Thit Taw/NT
