Security Force members conducted investigations against insurgents who are running online gambling, betting and illegal financing services based on the security of surveillance footage and technologies.
Acting on a tip-off, the TTBet Online Game gambling business is running, the police raided a house in Ngwe Hnin Phyu Thitkhwa street in FMI CITY of Hlinethaya (east) Township of Yangon Region on 29 January and arrested nine suspects including Moh Moh San (aka) Yuki together with 50 handphones, 22 laptops, four monitors, 741 sim-cards and other materials.
According to the confession of suspects, the police also searched the house in Chindwin street of FMI City and also arrested 19 suspects including Aung Phone Kyaw, admin of Golden Gift online lucky draw and Htin Aung Kyaw (aka) Alic, supervisor together with 37 handphones, 25 laptops, three monitors, one System Box, one colour printer and other materials.
Moreover, the police also arrested 19 suspects including Aye Nyein Thu, clerk of TTbet Online Game and supervisor Sai Thiha Zaw at No FG-95 in Chindwin street of FMI CITY including 11laptops, 22 handphones and other materials.
Based on the words of arrested persons, the police arrested Yan Naing Kyaw (aka) Arphu, manager of TTbet Online Game and Golden Gift online lucky draw at No 102 of Pun Hlaing Condo in Hlinethaya (east) Township together with one mobile phone, one MacBook Pro, one MacBook Air laptop, one Mercedes–Benz (YGN 6S-8888) and one Lexus (YGN 9B-6667) on 30 January.
According to the confession of Yan Naing Kyaw (aka) Arphu, the police raided the office of Sky Pay Mobile Financial Services Co Ltd in MICT Park of Hline Township on 4 February and arrested 22 suspects including manager Kyaw San Lin (aka) Archan of illegal online financing service using Money Bag Application, Cash Now Application and Cola Kyat Application together with 30 mobile phones, 55 laptops, one desktop and other materials.
Moreover, Kyaw Myo Aung, accountant of that illegal online financing service was also arrested with 49 laptops, one printer and other materials at the office of Sky Pay Mobile Financial Services Co Ltd in MICT Park of Hline Township on 5 February.
The suspects testified that Yan Naing Kyaw (aka) Arphu operated the TTbet Online Game, Golden Gift online lucky draw and illegal financing services under the name of Sky Pay Mobile Financial Services Co Ltd by using Money Bag Application, Cash Now Application, Cola Kyat and U Loan Application. The TTbet Online Game was launched by communicating with Yang Song (still investigating) while the illegal online financing service was by communicating with Sunny (still investigating) using Money Bag Application, Cash Now Application, Cola Kyat and U Loan Application under the proxy’s name of Sky Pay Mobile Financial Services Co Ltd and Golden Gift online lucky draw was operated by his (Yan Naing Kyaw) brother Aung Phone Kyaw.
The suspect deployed Kyaw San Lin (aka) Archan as manager, Aye Nyein Thu (aka) Neo as supervisor/accountant, Moh Moh San (aka) Kyaw Myo Aung as accountants, Htin Kyaw Aung (aka) Alic and Sai Thiha Zaw as supervisors.
In these cases, the police arrested a total of 71 suspects – 24 males and 47 females for five cases related to online gambling and seized 164laptops, 140 handphones, seven monitors, two printers, one System Box, one UPS, one desktop, 741 sim-cards, one Mercedes Benz and one Lexus.
The officials also temporarily seized about K480.5 million from their bank accounts, KBZ Pay and Wave Pay accounts and froze 14 KBZ Pay accounts to inspect the balance. The suspects were charged in the cases and further investigation was underway. — MNA/KTZH
