Return of Myanmar workers continues through Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge

331 Myanmar migrant workers (197 men and 134 women) from Thailand returned home through the Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge No 2 in Myawady on 18 August.
District Administrator U Tayza Aung and other relevant officials welcomed the returnees, who received medical examinations and had other necessary arrangements supervised by relevant district/township officials. All the returnees have been sent to relevant quarantine centres.
11,680 Myanmar nationals returned home in May; 25,338 in June; 18,597 in July; and 10,355 returned home from 1 to 18 August. So, a total of 65,968 Myanmar migrant workers returned home from 1 May to 18 August.—Htein Lin Aung (IPRD) (Translated by Maung Maung Swe)
