Future of the rural youth depends much on development of villages and uplift of living standard.
The government is implementing the rural development and poverty alleviation projects for improvement of the rural areas.
With the aim of broadening the horizon of the local youths in information technological sector, a basic computer course is being conducted in Kataikgyi Village in Thaton Township, Mon State.
“Local authorities manage the training course for the youths. The course is being conducted free of charge at the Dhammayon of Kataikgyi Monastery,” said village administrator U Myint Aye.
He continued, “Our village will consume electricity soon. Thanks to electrification, the local youth will have many opportunities to seek the ways for uplift of their living standard. A social organization provided four computer sets and technical assistance to the village authorities to be able to conduct the computer course for the youth. We have a plan to invite the youth from surrounding villages to join the work plan of the training course.”
The training course started on 25 November to date without holiday.
Ma Hnin Nanda Soe of Kataikgyi Village, a trainer of the course, said, “I am a graduate. Before joining the job, I will share my computerization knowledge and technology to my friends.”–Thet Oo (Thaton)
