SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces of Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Colonel-General Kim Alexey Rostislavovich

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Colonel-General Kim Alexey Rostislavovich at the parlour of Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Also present at the meeting were Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces was accompanied by Military Attaché of Russia to Myanmar Colonel Sergey Kurchenko and Russian senior military officers.

At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on further promotion of cooperation in education, health and technological measures including defence between the two armed forces of both countries, cooperation in counter-terrorism, sending of Myanmar Tatmadaw’s scholarship students to Russia, enhancement of friendly relations between the two armed forces, participation of Myanmar Tatmadaw in the cultural contest and army games held in the Russian Federation, bilateral exchange measures, strategic cooperation in economic and technological sectors of both countries, the emphasis placed by every country to combat terrorism across the world at present, and situation of cooperation in counter-terrorism between the two armed forces of Myanmar and Russia to contribute to regional peace and world’s peace measures.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces exchanged commemorative gifts. — MNA
