SAC member attends 49th Anniversary Rakhine State Day

Dr Ba Shwe, a member of the State Administration Council, attended the 49th anniversary of Rakhine State Day, which was convened at the Khine Thazin Hall in Sittway yesterday.
Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, Western Command Commander Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo, Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan and other government officials were among the attendees.
After the opening dance, Dr Ba Shwe read the message from SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. A speech by the Chief Minister followed this.
Then, the SAC member presented the first awards for excellence in management to three recipients, the Chief Minister the first awards for excellence in agricultural business and social affairs to respective winners, the Western Command Commander the first awards for excellence in social affairs to two winners, and the wife of the Chief Minister and patron of the Rakhine State Women’s Affairs Committee the first awards for excellence in social affairs to two winners.
The other excellence awards of second and third degrees were presented to respective winners, too.
This year’s ceremony recognized three first-grade awardees, 15 second-grade awardees, and 30 third-grade awardees for excellence in management. Additionally, one first-grade, six second-grade, and four third-grade awardees were honoured for excellence in agricultural business. Moreover, among other honourable titles, eight first-grade awardees, ten second-grade awardees, and nine third-grade awardees were acknowledged for excellence in social affairs.
The Rakhine Ethnic Dance Troupe and the Rakhine State General Administration Department staff entertained the guests with ethnic songs and dances.
The SAC member and other distinguished guests observed the exhibition at the Khine Thazin Hall after the photo session. They later enjoyed the gala lunch with award winners.
Subsequently, the SAC member convened with state executive body members and officials. He explained to them the five-point roadmap and nine objectives of the SAC and called for a collective effort towards a peaceful and prosperous Rakhine State.
The deputy minister for Religious Affairs and Culture briefed all on the matters to be done for the state’s peace and development, and other officials discussed them.
In the evening, they paid homage to the presiding monk of the Adatehtan Monastery and donated necessary items. — MNA/NT
