SAC member meets students, teachers, town elders in Shan State

State Administration Council Member Dr Kyaw Tun met teachers, town elders and students at No 4 BEHS in Heho of Kalaw Township together with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and other relevant officials yesterday.
During the meeting, the SAC Member said the government is making efforts for the education sector and it should arrange to meet a certain percentage of school enrollment at No 4 BEHS. In the 2023-2024 academic year, the compulsory education system for Grade 9 is launched free of charge and the government provides stationaries, textbooks and uniforms for school enrollment. Moreover, the training for Grade 9 and Grade 12 is conducted as well as multiplier courses.
He then talked about the role of new curriculums, skills of teachers, efforts of government in education sector and cooperation for students regarding their school enrollment.
The school headmistress reported on the maintenance of the school and then the SAC member and the state chief minister provided cash assistance for the school.
The SAC member then cordially greeted students, town elders and teachers.
On arrival at No 3 BEHS in Aungban of Kalaw Township, he urged the students, town elders and students to meet the 100 per cent of school enrollment highlighting the role of literature in promoting the country, reading skills, the free compulsory education system for Grade 9, responsibilities and accountabilities of teachers.
Then, the attendees presented the requirements for school and he made proper instructions.
He provided cash assistance for school together with that of state Ethnic Affairs Minister U Aung Kyi Win and cordially greeted the students, town elders and teachers.
Moreover, he headed to the BEHS (industrial zone) in Ayethaya Town with the state ethnic affairs minister and the Advocate-General of the state and met teachers, town elders and students.
During the meeting, he mentioned the role of education as a foundation of a nation, the development of the country depending on the literature, the efforts of local teachers, the curtail role of teachers in promoting the lives of students, education as the drive of a nation, willingness for the ethnic people to be educated persons and cooperation of parents and teachers.
