State Peace Talks Team continues second-day meeting with LDU delegation

The second-day meeting between the State Peace Talks Team and the Lahu Democratic Union-LDU is in progress in Nay Pyi Taw on 9 July 2022.

The State Peace Talks Team met representatives from the Lahu Democratic Union-LDU at the meeting room of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Member of the State Administration Council and Union Minister at the Office of the Union Government (1) Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee, Leader of the Peace Talks Team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Team Members: Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, also the member of the State Administration Council, Lt-Gen Min Naung, the Secretary of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee, LDU General Secretary Kyar Solomon, Joint Secretary (2) Kyar Ya Kok, and Member of the Central Executive Committee Kyar Phu attended the meeting.
During the meeting, NSPNC member Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein pointed out the findings of the NSPNC and the details of the agreements included in Part I, II and III of the Union Accord and Table 2 from Part III to be discussed.
Afterwards, both parties discussed peace and development issues and signed the agreements reached in the three-day meeting.
Then, LDU General Secretary Kyar Solomon and State Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae made concluding remarks and presented the books of the Diamond Jubilee Union Day published by the Ministry of Information, Myanmar Encyclopaedia volume 1 and gifts.—MNA
