Tatmadaw (Air) transports relief materials to Mocha-hit regions

Rice bags are seen being loaded aboard the Tatmadaw aircraft to transport them to Mocha-battered areas yesterday.

The Tatmadaw has sent a group of aid and relief teams to areas affected by natural disasters and is carrying out the necessary aid and relief operations.
Food and relief items donated by Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, and Air) families and generous donors, as well as items provided by the National Disaster Management Committee, are being transported by military plane, helicopter, and ship.
Tatmadaw aircraft transported 4.364 tonnes of relief materials, including uniforms and books, for schools in disaster-affected areas from Yangon’s Mingaladon Airport to Sittway Airport.
The planes also transported 320 sacks of rice totalling 16 tonnes donated by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement to Mandalay International Airport via Kalay Airport.
Relief materials are delivered in a timely manner by planes, and helicopters of the Tatmadaw (Air), and as of yesterday, 447.2 tonnes of relief materials plus 3,097 military and departmental personnel who will assist in the rehabilitation work were successfully delivered.
Relief materials arriving at the airports are being sent and distributed by helicopters to the storm-affected areas, and officials are receiving the materials in a timely manner. — MNA/KZL
