Tatmadaw (Navy) transports supplies to people in Mocha-hit Rakhine State

Relief supplies are being unloaded from the Tatmadaw landing craft on its arrival in Sittway yesterday.

Tatmadaw (Navy) is distributing the necessary relief materials, foodstuffs, rehabilitation materials, and rescue teams to various places with navy ships for the storm-affected people in Rakhine State.
A 56-metre landing craft from the Tatmadaw (Navy) carrying relief items and foodstuffs totalling 194.5 tonnes docked at Essar Jetty, Sittway and transported them to Rathedaung yesterday.
Another 56-metre landing craft from the Tatmadaw (Navy) transported rehabilitation materials, and foods totalling 70.5 tonnes to Myebon Port via Sittway.
Similarly, a 29-metre landing craft from Tatmadaw (Navy) carrying Tatmadaw members and firefighters totalling 186 persons transported them to Yechanpyin via Rathedaung Port.
Likewise, the naval vessel Myitkyina transported relief items donated by Myanmar Police Force, South-West Command, Yangon Command, Ministry of Electric Power, Myanmar Economic Corporation, Ministry of Health, Yangon Region RTAD, Directorate of Military Engineers, and Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare totalling 455 tonnes to Sittway via Yangon. The relief materials transported by the navy vessels will be handed over to officials in an orderly manner, and distributed to the people affected by the storm effectively.
Afterwards, the aid and relief task forces went to schools and people’s homes that were damaged by the storm and carried out relief works. —MNA/KZL
