Telematics system to be debuted for enhanced safety on Yangon-Mandalay Expressway

The Ministry of Construction released the notification that the companies that want to submit tenders for telematics system must send them by 6 November while the Command Centre will apply a telematics system to ensure the safety of passenger buses on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway.
The telematics system will be conducted by the Expressway Maintenance, Repair and Supervision Team, Department of Highways under the Ministry of Construction and the Myanmar citizen private companies have been invited to submit tender proposals.
Telematics systems can launch digital maps, communication links, image processors, and vehicle positioning and can place tracking devices of new behavioural and attentional demands on drivers.
Those who want to submit tenders have to send the applications to the Office of the Director (Civil), the Expressway Maintenance, Repair and Supervision Team at the C-junction, Nay Pyi Taw. — TWA/MKKS
