Mobile medical teams of Defence Services have provided health care services to more than 300,000 people across the nation during four years period, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing told the cash donation ceremony at Thandwe District General Hospital on Thursday.
The senior general and wife presented cash donation of Tatmadaw families of Army, Navy and Air to district medical officer Dr Daw Myat Myat Moe. Well-wishers also donated cash to the hospital.
In the morning, the senior general, wife and Chief Minister of Rakhine State U Maung Maung Ohn cut the ribbon to open a 360-foot-long RC facility Thahtaychaung bridge linking Zeegyun and Myinhsaimaw villages in Thandwe Township.
The senior general and party visited a rural health branch built by Min Din Foundation in Zeegyun village. While in the village, they paid respects to 85 aged and presented cash assistance.
Thahtaychaung Bridge, 360 feet long and 11 feet wide, was built by Directorate of Military Engineers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) with the contribution of families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air).
