Two more COVID-19 cases on Sunday, total cases reach 184

THE Ministry of Health and Sports reported two more confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of people tested positive to 184.
The two newly infected persons were a fourty-one year-old male from Pazundaung Township, Yangon Region, and a fifty-seven year-old male from Mayangon Township, Yangon Region.  Out of the 184 confirmed cases, six patients have died, 97 have recovered, and 84 were allowed to be discharged from respective hospitals, according to the statement issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports. —MNA

Update on COVID-19 at 8 pm on 17 May 2020

1. The Department of Medical Research tested 200 samples and the National Health Laboratory (Yangon) tested 186 samples for COVID-19, totaling 386, on 17 May.
The result showed that TWO lab specimen tested positive for COVID-19.
2. There are a total of 184 confirmed cases in Myanmar up to 8:00 pm on 17 May.
3. Two old cases (case no 146 and case no 156) were tested negative two consecutive times, bringing the total number of persons recovered to 97 until 17 May. Among them, 84 persons have been discharged from the hospital and they will be kept isolation at the designated places.
4. The total death toll remains at six.
5. There are a total of 76 new persons under investigation in the past 24 hours from 12 noon of 17 May.
