UNDSS Head calls on MoHA Union Minister

SAC Member Union Home Affairs Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae receives Under-Secretary-General Mr Gilles Michaud, head of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) yesterday.

State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae received a delegation led by Under-Secretary-General Mr Gilles Michaud, head of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They warmly and frankly discussed the safety and security of UN staff working in Myanmar, travel rights for UN staff, humanitarian aid for Myanmar and cooperation between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the United Nations Department of Safety and Security.
The meeting was attended by U Khaing Tun Oo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Myanmar Police Transnational Crime Division Officiating Head Police Brig-Gen Kyaw Zeya, heads of departments, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator ai for Myanmar Mr Marcoluigi Corsi, and Security Advisor Mr Marco Smoliner to the UN Department of Safety and Security. — MNA/TS
