Uplift the prestige of people in Mon State forever

Mon ethnics have been steadfastly preserving the language, literature, cultural traditions and customs of their State and ethnics in successive eras. Hence, the new generation of youths needs to take over the responsibilities for further preservation and protection of literature, language, culture and historical heritages.
The Mon State is endowed with favourable weather, teeming with hilly areas, rivers and creeks in addition to lush and green forests, and historical cultural heritages. Being a location adjacent to the long sea coastal line, the state possesses plentiful land and water natural resources and industrial raw materials. The state should take pride in enjoying sound foundations for the improvement of the national economy and promotion of the socioeconomic life of local ethnic people.
Mon ethnics are residing in the Mon State similar to other ethnics with the Union Spirit along the history by preserving traditions and customs as well as cultural heritages. Local people in the Mon State are peacefully doing their businesses such as agriculture and livestock, production of raw rubber materials, mining works and fishery industries.
Currently, unrests and terror acts, breaking the law and disturbances tarnish the image of some parts of the Mon State in fine traditions and are dangerous for the country. It is necessary to beware of those who commit disintegration of the country and destroy the peace, stability and development of the region, and all are to make collaborative efforts for protecting the state and the nation.
Politically, governments may change one after another to govern all parts of the nation under the constitutions. It is undeniable. The status of people never changes. Hence, relevant governments are responsible for managing all measures of the Union as well as for fulfilling the needs of local people including all ethnicities.
People and all parts of the Mon State are waiting for the aid of the governments to improve their socioeconomic life comprising their businesses and to develop their regions. Currently, the government is building necessary infrastructures such as the plan to construct the international airport in the Mon State. For example, such an international airport will benefit the local people and the Mon State with the development of various sectors such as tourism, transport and so on.
Mon State Day designated in 1974, transformed from the Taninthayi Division No 1 on 19 March is a significant day for the people residing in the Mon State. Such a commemorative day will be a torchlight for their lives and will bring happiness and prestige to their lives forever.
